Laura Dolson, the low carb guide at About.com has what is probably, in my opinion, the most comprehensive collection of information about low carb on the internet. Some sites are more entertaining, some are flashier and some definitely have less advertising (you have to realize that About.com is a commercial enterprise -- and there's nothing wrong with that), but if there's anything you really need to find out about low carb, from the latest scientific studies, to recipes, to information on how to get started, it's probably here. I like to think The Great Carb Cutback offers much of this in a more manageable form, but for sheer wealth of information, Laura's site is hard to beat.

Below are links to two different feeds; the first is the latest headlines from Laura's world of low carb, the second is a "What's Hot" collection of the most popular articles from the past week.

Easy Exercise

As I suggest in The Great Carb Cutback, simple walking is one of the best exercises you can do to complement your low carb lifestyle. If you would like to make that walking a lot more fun and a lot more extensive excercise, without much additional effort, click on the link below and check out Urban Poling

The Activator Poles (below) are similar to the ones above, but they're designed for those with chronic conditions, those recovering from injuries as well as older adults who require more stability and balance when walking. You can access them from the regular Urban Poling site, but to go directly to the Activator page click below.
